Fox News Watchers Don't Think

I’ve been confused as to why the 98% of Americans who make less than $250,000 aren’t all voting for President Obama. I believe I found the answer. In my opinion it’s because too many people are watching Fox News, a subsidiary of News Corporation. In 2010 the network's programs took the top 10 spots for most-watched cable news programs in the 25–54 age group and the top 12 spots among total cable-news programs viewers.
News Corp. owned the News of the World and in July 2011 it was reveled that journalists systematically broke the law to win scoops and Rupert Murdoch was forced to close the paper. Police arrested dozens of journalists and Prime Minister David Cameron's press aide was forced to resign. Three top police officials including London's most senior police officer also stepped down. News Corp. also had to face more than 500 civil claims and making more than 100 settlements to victims of hacking. The fall-out from the scandal is credited with helping nix a bid by News Corp. to gain full control over British Sky Broadcasting Group, launching investigations into whether News Corp. leaders were fit to hold broadcast licenses. The UK Parliament released a report in May criticizing Murdoch because he "exhibited willful blindness to what was going on in his companies and publications," and added that he was "not a fit person to exercise the stewardship of a major international company." Critics have stated that the Fox News Channel promotes conservative political positions and biased reporting; commentators, news anchors and reporters have said that news reporting and political commentary operate independently of each other and they have denied any bias. I personally think they promote government conspiracy theories. Several people I spoke with seem to have been brainwashed – they think Obama has altered the data on the IRS website as well as changed those showing our country’s history and Reagan having the highest rate of unemployment and more than doubling our deficit (all created prior to this campaign). These viewers seem to think the rich have worked hard to get their money and don’t believe that tax breaks have caused an inequity in the paying of taxes. I don’t think they watch debates as they don’t believe the fact checkers or other stations that don’t agree with Fox News. Is it subliminal messages or do we really have so many people who can’t think for themselves?  All I know is they’re going to take us down with them.
