Rubio
when talking to ABC on August 28, 2012 in regard to Chris Christie’s speech
said - “What he was saying was, well, some of the tough choices we’re going to
have to make are not going to be necessarily popular but that’s what leadership
is about. The conclusion he reached in the speech was the one that he needed to
reach and the right one and that’s Mitt Romney is the guy, the only one running
for President that’s going to tell us the hard truth so it’s going to help us
to confront the problems that we have”. I’m not going to get into Mitt being
called an Etch-A-Sketch guy during the debates.
Mitt
Romney signed the Family Leader's "Marriage Vow" pledge
in August, 2011 and on January 7, 2012 Romney said “…the nation will presumably be better off if children are
raised where there is a male and a female and there’s many cases where that’s
not possible (divorce, single parent) but we should not encourage situations
other than the ideal setting of a man and a woman”. According to a June CNN/ORC
International Survey, support for marriage equality stands at 54% nationwide,
with those ages 18–34 supporting marriage equality by 73%.
On November 10,
2011 Romney said he’s willing to go to war to keep Iran from getting nuclear
weapons; this was repeated during his recent trip overseas where in one week he made friends with one country while angering
5.
Let’s not
forget the October 2011 Time magazine article that said: bankers are trying to
gut the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and are putting their money on Mitt
Romney who said he’d repeal the law – thus letting Wall Street go back
to the types of transactions that lost people their retirements and bankers
conducting business so it increases costs to Americans and takes away their
homes. (Mitt
was linked to the Stanford Financial Group that collapsed in 2009 with charges
of massive and ongoing fraud against its investors; it was the second largest
Ponzi scheme, behind Madoff).
Romney and the
Republican Party are out of touch with the American people; there’s more proof
of this to come.
